"The only proven way to completely eliminate head lice is to treat the head and then remove ALL the nits. Neon Nits makes the task of removing the nits so much easier."

Dr. Lori Fox Reid
Inventor of Neon Nits

For BEST results use Neon Nits Lice Elimination System as follows:

Step 1: BRUSH

BrushUsing a stiff bristle brush (do not use a single-tooth plastic type brush), brush dry hair and SCALP firmly (over a trashcan) in the opposite direction of normal. It is believed that when an egg first hatches, the young nymph may be protected by the scalp for the first 2-4 days and can be missed by any lice removal product. Brushing the scalp firmly may help to dislodge the youngsters and make them vulnerable to the application of Lice Infestation Mousse.

Step 2: APPLY MOUSSENeon Nits Mousse

Use Neon Nits Lice Infestation Mousse as directed. Neon Nits Mousse is a non-toxic protease enzyme that acts on the outer shell of the adult as well as loosens the glue that attaches the egg to the hair. It can be used every day, on infants, small children and women who are pregnant.

Step 3: COMB

Neon Nits Terminator CombAfter allotted time has elapsed using the Mousse and while Mousse is still in hair, use the Nit-Free Terminator Comb to remove nits. Separate the hair into small sections pinning up what you are not combing. Starting at the roots, comb each section of the hair. Comb each section up, down, left and right, rinsing the comb frequently under running water. If the hair starts to dry, add more Mousse. Comb entire head. Before rinsing hair, brush hair again under running water to rinse lice from hair as much as possible. (If you have used any oil-based lice removal product like tea tree oil, or anise oil, ALL OIL MUST BE REMOVED with regular shampoo PRIOR to using Neon Nits.)

Step 4: DRY

Dry hair completely.

Step 5: APPLY LOCATOR SPRAY

Neon Nits SpraySeparate hair into small sections of about ¼ to ½ an inch or 25 mm. Pin up hair not being sprayed. Use Neon Nits Lice Egg Locater Spray after Neon Nits Lice Infestation Mousse on DRY, OIL-FREE hair. Spray Lice Egg Locator Spray LIGHTLY on hair, in short spray bursts, not a continuous saturating spray, at a distance of about 6-8″ or 15-20 cm. DO NOT SATURATE HAIR OR MAKE HAIR WET WITH SPRAY. Allow a few seconds to dry. Neon Nits Lice Egg Locator Spray will dry almost immediately. Avoid spraying the scalp and skin. Use a DRY, stiff bristle brush to remove as much dye from hair as possible. Brush the hair over a trashcan to catch dried dye. If nits are present, they will be permanently dyed so you can see them to remove them.

Step 6: REMOVE DRIED DYE

Using a DRY brush, continue to brush as much dried dye from hair as possible before wetting hair to shampoo.

Step 7: SHAMPOO

Shampoo hair with regular shampoo to remove excess dye. If Pink (currently unavailable) Neon Nits Lice Egg Locator Spray is used on blonde or light colored hair and a residual color remains, excess color can be removed by making a paste of baking soda and water and massaging into hair. Rinse and repeat if necessary.

Step 8: FOLLOW-UP

CHECK THE HEAD DAILY FOR TWO WEEKS FROM LAST EVIDENCE OF LICE OR NITS. Check everyone in the household and use Mint Spray to keep lice away. Apply Lice Egg Locator spray to look for nits to determine if the reapplication of Infestation Mousse is necessary.
